The New York City Police Department is giving an exam starting June 3, 2014, for Police Administrative Aide. You can apply for this exam from March 5, 2014 to March 25, 2014. The starting salary for this position is $30,683.00, this rate is subject to change. Application fee for this exam is $47.00. Fee is non-refundable and if paying with a debit/credit/gift card, an additional 2.49% fee will be charged. The exam number is 4059.
This is a multiple-choice test and it will be held on Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There are two test sites where this exam will be given. Manhattan location is at 2 Lafayette Street, 17th Floor, New York. Brooklyn location is at 210 Joralemon Street, 2nd Floor, New York. After taking the multiple-choice exam, applicants will be given a typing skills test. A minimum of thirty words per minute is required.
To qualify for this exam/job, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year clerical experience, one year in public service, and/or a completion of thirty semester credits. Education and experience history will be investigated by the police department during the pre-employment screening process.
