Halloween is coming up this Thursday and that means one thing, and one thing only: it's time to party. No one does it better than the Bay Area. Festivities started up this past weekend, naturally, and will continue well past the 31st, if Bret Michaels and The Grapes of Rock Festival's costume contest lures enough willing participants.
Whether it's a classic thriller film known as Psycho, streamed to the beat of the SF Symphony, death metal from the likes of Slayer, or neo-psychedelic space rock from the Flaming Lips, there are plenty of events for music lovers on, or around, Halloween night that shouldn't be missed. Here are eight must-attend events:

Psycho Film with the San Francisco Symphony | 8:00 PM at Davies Symphony Hall | Buy Tickets
Slayer | 7:30 PM at the Event Center at San Jose State University | Buy Tickets
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31
