Noted atheist, Christopher Hitchens, underwent 'waterboarding'

Almost a year ago, Christopher Hitchens subjected himself to the widely controversial “waterboarding.” Nearly a year ago, he said, what so many people have been saying, that it was definitely a form of torture. Finally, now that Attorney General-nominee Eric Holder Jr. said today that it is torture, perhaps people will listen.

The Bush administration, particularly Dick Chaney, has been denying any wrong doing in the treatment of prisoners, no doubt to keep themselves out of trouble. But now, hopefully, when Obama comes into office, those members of the Bush administration who allowed this to happen will be held accountable.

In the video below, you can see Christopher Hitchens being waterboarded.

As a side note: It is interesting that through it all, atheists, who are supposed to be so immoral, have been saying that these tactics are torturous and illegal. The defenders of this torture tactic have been openly religious individuals. Think “faith-based initiative.” (That is not to say that all religious people have defended it.) And, people think that having atheists in office would be horrific. Hah!
