Not your ordinary Halloween

Did you capture the moments when your children were all dressed up for trick or treating? Now you have the pictures printed and you are ready to scrap but most of the Halloween papers don't seem to work for your child's costume.

Most Halloween patterned paper seems to show characters that are scary or creepy but you had a princess at your house. Try the Disney Princess line of papers. They were intended for your trips to Disney parks or events, but you can easily use them if your little one was Cinderella or the like. Or try Little Yellow Bicycle's "Tiny Princess" or Imaginisce' "Enchanted" if your princess had a knight and dragon!!

What's that, you had a pumpkin? Look at the fall papers geared toward cider mills, pumpkin patches and even Thanksgiving.  Lots of pumpkins there.

Lady bug or owl? Digital pages like those by Lilly Bimble would be perfect.

Just be sure to not limit yourself to holiday themed paper. Think out of the box, there are lots of other options that may work better for you. And of course, there are always paper piecing, Cricut cartridges and Silhouette files that show the perfect character and you can use them with plain cardstock or geometric patterned papers for you layout.

Check your local scrapbook stores like Scrappy Chic in Livonia or Archiver’s in Novi for all of these and more! Enjoy!!
