TAMPA — "Community Building: What's Working in Tampa Bay'' will be the topic of discussion when the Not Your Average Speakers (NYAS) get together Wednesday, Feb. 22, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Roosevelt 2.0, 1812 15th Street North in Tampa.

According to Diane Egner, publisher and managing editor of 83 Degrees Media, the goal of the NYAS series is to focus on “what’s working” in Tampa Bay and “encourage a community vision for the future.”
The event is hosted by 83 Degrees Media and presented by Tucker Hall, a Tampa-based public relations and public affairs firm that provides strategic counsel to senior-level managers in the U.S. and Latin America.
Among the questions to be discussed:
- What does it take to build community?
- Who participates?
- What is involved?
- When and how can people get engaged?
- Why does it matter?
“Join 83 Degrees and new community builders for a dialogue designed to help shape what comes next,” organizers said.
Panel speakers include: Michael Blasco, Tasting Tampa; Brian Seel, TRANSITion Tampa Bay and Emerge Tampa Bay, Bob Devin Jones, Studio@620; Linda Olson, Tampa Bay WaVE; and, Reuben Pressman of "I'm Staying,'' Swings Tampa Bay and Keep St. Petersburg Local.
