Evidence has emerged that Sarah Palin may disappoint her millions of ardent supporters by not running for President.
That evidence? Palin will not be among the Republican contenders at the first GOP debate taking place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California this May 2.
Instead, The Hill reports that Palin is scheduled to speak that evening at the Colorado Christian University in Denver, for a fundraising gala called “Tribute to the Troops with Sarah Palin.”
Palin’s absence from the first Republican debate may indicate that she is not interested in seeking the White House next year – or it may indicate Palin’s suspicion of the debate’s media hosts, Politico and NBC News.
Historically, both left-leaning news outlets have been hostile to both Palin and conservatives in general.
In that sense, the other potential GOP nominees may eventually follow Palin’s lead and boycott this early Politico-MSNBC Republican debate altogether.
Indeed, the Republican field may already be wondering why pro-Obama media personalities are moderating a GOP debate: to date, no candidate has actually committed to attend.
However, Palin appears to be the only name candidate already actually booked elsewhere.
