Not quite ready for red lips? Try these bold colors instead

Many women love the look of a bold lip, but are not ready to go for red lip color. Even when they are dressed to the nines for a formal night out, some women feel they have no choice but to go for a classic red, even though they would choose something else if given a selection of choices. The rules of fashion still apply, you want to go with certain shades if your undertone is cool, warm or neutral.

Fuchsia- Fuchsia can be seen as a perfect blend of pink and red, and given the intensity, it can be very dramatic. Some women still only use fuchsia lip color for special occasions, but many have found it to be reliable enough to include it in their makeup wardrobe as a staple. Visit a makeup counter and see if they can find you the best shade of fuchsia for your undertone. For a bold fuchsia, try Chanel Lipstick in La Sensuelle.

Burnt Orange-Not exactly red, a burnt orange lip color can be bold with the right intensity, without making the wearer feel uncomfortable. The shade has to be right for you, and a good quality, otherwise it may come out looking strange. If you choose to wear makeup, you may want to avoid wearing colorful eyeshadow or blush, so it doesn't give the lip color an unnatural look. Instead stick to neutral eyeshadow like brown or black, or just an eyeliner and mascara. A nice example of a quality orange lipcolor is Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in Valencia Orange.
