‘Not Another Sundance Movie’ spoofs every indie film

In case you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to experience The Sundance Film Festival, the folks at Tastes Funny have released a fake trailer that parodies every cliche contained in an indie film, according to a Jan. 22 report from The Playlist.

Seriously, everything that has been done is mentioned here. Whether it’s the “actor trying to be a director”; the people of Portland, Ore. praising a particular film; or one emotional scene after another, there is something that all indie watchers will chuckle at in this nearly three-minute video. There is also an odd jab at “Beasts of the Southern Wild” and what looks like a scene from “Brokeback Mountain.”

The video can be viewed in its entirety at the top of this page.

The Sundance Film Festival is taking place right now in Utah and will conclude on Sunday, Jan. 26. Some films have landed distribution deals, and there have been plenty of reviews coming from the festival as well.
