Norwegian mystery man to vie for INBF Southern Cal Classic title

Nobody seem to know very much about Hans Egner, the blonde “mystery man” from Norway who has entered the upcoming INBF  Southern California Classic Natural Bodybuilding Championships on July 10 in La Jolla.  Egner, 38, is a veteran bodybuilding competitor of several years, but his best placing so far was second in the Venice Beach Open back in 2005.

Dormant from competition for the past couple of years, Egner’s recent photos (see slideshow) indicate that he has been training hard and could be looking to pull off an upset this Saturday with his impressive physique.  His extensive athletic background probably portends a posing routine that will, in some way, display his great athleticism, so spectators should be in for a treat.

An all-around athlete, Egner apparently has a storied history of athletic achievements including:

·         1989 Full-Contact Karate European Champion

·         2000 Norwegian Fitness Champion

·         4- Time Norwegian Indoor 500 Meter Rowing Champion (1996, 2000, 2003, 2004)

·         2nd place Norwegian Indoor 500 Meters on 2009 Rowing Championship Team

·         Member National Kickboxing Team

Egner hails from the village of Skedsmokorset  (pop 15,000), Norway, in the municipality of Skedsmo  in the county of Akershus  where he owns two training centers and has 2 small children.

It’s a long way from Norway to California - at least 4,446 miles - and too far for someone who isn’t serious about winning.  Look out for the Mystery Man!

Great article! Except that his name is Christian! Do your research!

Sorry, Jeay, butI DID do my research. EVERY communication that I received from him stated his name as "Hans." Christian is his middle name, but that is NOT what he called himself in our interviews. I will be happy to change it if he requests it.
