Norway spiral light in the sky...is it a UFO? (see video)

Norway spiral light in the sky…is it a UFO? (see video). On Tuesday night, the Norway sky filled with a spiral rotating light that some residents said was as big as the moon. The light stops, then spins into a spiral at a quick pace, and lasted 10-12 minutes before disappearing. No one seems to have the answer as to what it is.

Some witnesses thought it was computer generated, some thought it was a fireball meteor, and others thought it was a missile from Russia (the Russian military strongly denies), and some said it could be a Bulava missile from a submarine.

President Obama will soon travel to Norway to accept the Nobel Peace Prize.  The ‘net buzz on these videos are hot today because it just happened last night and because no one can seem to identify exactly what it is. See videos below.

Russian missile test, quite obviously. The denial means nothing.

  • chromal 2 years ago

I think it’s a russian missile, probably the second or third stage, post-boost. The tumbling is intentional, not accidental, a part of their new RS-24’s anti-laser ABM defense countermeasures package, using an ablative gas as a laser light-diffusing and heat-convection aid. The Russians are on record for both touting it’s new anti-laser countermeasures as well as the fact they would certainly be deploying it ‘in 2009? after the Start-I anti-proliferation treaty expired (Sat, Dec 5th expiry). Anyone got a better explanation?

  • chromal 2 years ago

also, just a side-comments on the denials, I've heard accounts of the Russian Navy denying it, not 'the russian military' as lazier journalism states. Fact of the matter is, the RS-24 is not a naval ICBM, so of course the Russian Navy didn't launch it.

  • james 2 years ago

I do not believe it was a missile. It was reported to be spinning for 10-12 mins. I don't believe a missile would be spiraling in or out of control for that long. I do believe it was some kind of projection either down or up and judging from some other pictures being shown, it looks like up. :( Down would have been cooler! :)

do missiles spiral with a blue light behind it? i think its very weird makes me nervous.

  • kiza 2 years ago

nope definately not a missile. is it really that hard to believe that the spiral wasnt man made? keep your minds open.... the missile theory could be a cover up

  • Rick 2 years ago

Holographic projection using the sky as a screen?Witnesses said it looked computer generated...maybe it was.Its either that or CERN has finally created an accidental vortex in spacetime.I could go either way.

This UFO business really got me very mad, to the point that I contacted my attorney to see if there is a point to file a discrimination class action suit against the extraterrestrials. How come the show up all over the US, Australia, Tasmania, etc. but in Boynton Beach NADA, SIPO. In Boynton we have nice beaches full of female earthlings in very small bikinis, excellent restaurants, moderate price shopping centers, etc. We are getting discriminated and we are out the loop. I have not seen one and I go out at night to see at least a small one. We are not asking for a full display just something that we can photograph and show to our friends. Please !!!

HEA IGNORAMUS;I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT WAS THE RUSSIANS.NO ONE WOULD SHOOT A MISSILE,WITHOUT AMERICA STOPPING IT!SOME PEOPLE ARE SO INTO DENIAL,THAT IT IS PATHETIC.BETTER WAKE UP SKEPTICS,THE TRUTH IS ABOUT TO COME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

It's probably an advertising gimmick, like the flood lights car dealerships use. It's cool though.

The Russian missile doesn't really hold water because NATO would have immediately noted anything from Russia of that nature. Besides that, any missile so erratically out of control would have been destroyed in flight and there was nothing resembling that in any of the vids or photos. Also, the body of any spent missile would have come down somewhere and would have been quickly noted on radar screens in the immediate area.

My first guess is that it was some kind of stunt of promotional gimmick using technology similar to those in laser light shows.

Second guess is that we were witnessing some sort of natural, electrical plasma discharge.

Beyond that... it did kind of look like the vortex that opened in the Star Trek DS9 wormhole...

Has anyone looked into HAARP ionospheric Research? Current facilities

The United States has three ionospheric heating facilities: the HAARP, the HIPAS, near Fairbanks, (Alaska), and (currently offline for modifications) one at the Arecibo Observatory[citation needed] in Puerto Rico. The European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association (EISCAT) operates an ionospheric heating facility, capable of transmitting over 1 GW effective radiated power (ERP), near Tromsø, (Norway).[8] (Russia) has the Sura Ionospheric Heating Facility, in Vasilsursk near Nizhniy Novgorod. If I'm not mistaken Norway, Russia and California are the common places where the sightings happened. "That's my two cents"

  • wadyaknow 2 years ago

Spiral light in Norway sky is probably a man made hologram.

GENEVA - The world's largest atom smasher has recorded its first high-energy collisions of protons, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Physicists hope those collisions will help them understand suspected phenomena such as dark matter, antimatter and ultimately the creation of the universe billions of years ago, which many theorize occurred as a massive explosion known as the big bang.

The collisions occurred Tuesday evening as the Large Hadron Collider underwent test runs in preparation for operations next year, said Christine Sutton of the European Organization for Nuclear Research. The organization is better known by its French acronym, CERN.

Wow... That is odd, I am glad to have been able to see that on video, would have loved to see it with my own eyes. I have seen many flying objects in night skies that I don't know what they were. Well, can you imagine when the rapture happens and the Heavens Roll up and disappear, plus the Sun stops shining and fire rains down on earth? I can only say; "Fools will still not believe and get on their knees" God Bless all of us!!

There are a lot of other countrys with missles, and if it was some new slow moving missle, such as a cruse it could be up for a long time, and it could have malfunctioned and left quite a trail of ionised gas that disapated, Nato, the US military and whom ever else could have been asleep at the wheel and missed it if it was small and sub sonic, contrary to popular beleif, they can't get everything, and with countrys like France who seem to forget what happens when you let petty dictators and extreemist governments get away with stuff, they let Hitler do what ever he wanted and paid the price, now they let people like Sadam, and extremist countrys like North Korea, Iran, and groups like alkieda and the taliban do what ever they want, and are the first to pipe up when The United States trys to keep these people from running around killing people, so I say to all these people who think all you need to do is sit back and leave these animals alone will find out again what happens.

And if it is space aliens they're clearly coming to bring celestial gifts to the man-child who would rule the planet Earth with all wisdom and the help of billionaire leftist George Soros. All Praise to the New World Order!

Everyone chill. It was just me. Made an Ironman suit in my workshop. Had a little glitch with the flight stabilizers. When the dizziness wears off I'll correct the problem. Next time you'll only see a linear blue streak across the sky. Till I get the cloaking device working that is. PS, for anyone else out there who hasn't tried out their home-made Ironman suit at high altitude yet -- yeah, definitely, I HIGHLY recommend a Norwegian night setting. But don't eat a big meal like I did beforehand, thinking hey, this could be my last meal. I'm still cleaning out the inside of the suit.

I think it is funny to read the comments from people that are not from the United States. Seems like some of them have nothing to talk about but crap for the states. Alot of them have forgotten though how at one time or another we have had to pull them out of a slump and now they just keep to themselves so that does not have to happen again....

@elnino Obviously you're the dumb one by thinking all Americans are uneducated and uninformed. We didn't all vote for Obama. What's worse is that you insulted someone else for idiocy when you can't even correctly punctuate a sentence nor spell words out.
