Returning for its sixth year, Northside Festival is set to take over Brooklyn from June 12-19, 2014. Over 400 bands will play at venues across Williamsburg and Greenpoint and there will be two free shows held in McCarren Park on June 14 and 15. This year’s lineup features artists such as: Sharon Van Etten, Titus Andronicus, Dan Croll, Eagulls, Omar Souleyman and Beach Fossils.

Northside is great opportunity to many of the up-and-coming local bands before they hit the mainstream. The bands are carefully selected by a group of curators and tastemakers from the local music scene. Last year saw breakout performances by artists such as asBear Hands, Chance the Rapper, Majical Cloudz, Phosphorescent, Snowmine, and Young Magic.

In addition to the music showcase, Northside will also feature a film festival (Northside Film), a technology trade show and speakers from prestigious startups such as Etsy, Vimeo, Bonobos and Rent the Runway. (see the full list)

Early Bird Music Badges ($65), Innovation Badges ($245), Film Badges ($25), and Premium Badges ($275) are on sale now at the Northside Festival website. You can also purchase single-show tickets here: http://northsidefestival.com/music-tickets/.

Local bands looking to play at Northside can submit their applications here by March 24.
