Northland Rosarium 2012 catalog available

The 2012 Northland Rosarium catalog is available now! There are three ways to see what they have this year: browse the roses online at http://northlandrosarium.com/index-1.cfm ; download the .pdf file at http://northlandrosarium.com/archive/Catalog-2012.pdf ; or order a print version by emailing Carol at carol@northlandrosarium.com .

If Northland hasn’t come to your attention before, you should go take a look. All their roses are suitable for Spokane and its environs; their own garden and nursery is just west of downtown Spokane and is zone 5. Their roses are trialed in the garden there and shovel prune those that don’t make it; exceptions such as ‘Black Baccara’ (it’s zone 7, which makes me very, very sad) are noted in the catalog. They have a huge selection, from miniatures to climbers. New introductions this year include the pure white ‘Sugar’ moon, a continuous bloomer with a strong, sweet fragrance; ‘Party Dress’ from Kordes, a light pink with huge, quartered blooms that look like old garden roses; the lavender-ruby ‘Paradise’; ‘Koko Loco’ with unusually colored flowers of lavender-buff; and ‘Amber Sun’ with open flowers of copper yellow.

The garden and nursery won’t be open for visits until sometime in April, but you can order on line, by phone, or mail for plants to be shipped anywhere in the US in early April.
