Northern North Park gives us Tiger! Tiger! Tavern (Photos)

What I look for in a good bar is a good vibe when you first hit the inside of the place. What I found inside Tiger Tiger Tavern was comfort, in which to sip a really good beer. It’s truly great if you like that dark, worn wood look. I do like it.

At Tiger Tiger, they do food right. Take your thirst and your hunger to this spot; located at 3025 El Cajon Blvd because therein you’ll find brews from Coronado Orange Avenue Wheat and Ale Smith Speedway Stout, Russian River IPA, Avery Ellie’s Brown Ale and many more local craft beers. This is a brew maven’s paradise for sure.

Service at this spot is very good. I am told Tiger Tiger can get pretty crowded so get there early if you like to choose your seat. Most of the seating is picnic style so just belly up to a nice looking stranger and be entertaining and you will have fun.

If you like oysters, you’ll like them at this spot. They are prepared on the signature wood burning oven which will create great flavor on all things baked to perfection from within. Open for well over a year now, the people at Tiger Tiger Tavern have their best game on.

This neighborhood hangout does their thing Tuesday – Thursday from 5 till midnight. Then on weekends they go from 11:30 till closing. The local crowds tend to be from the neighborhood but the night I went in, I talked to people from North County and a large group was gathered from South Bay so I’d have to say you don’t need to be from this hood to feel welcome.
