If your image of Northern Ireland is only of Belfast, think again. Think of the coast...and think Carnlough.
Carnlough and its harbour is short on people but long on incredible scenery as well as options for outdoor activities. Less than 2,000 people call Carnlough home, which allows the village in County Antrim the ability to keep its old-world charm.
Carnlough is located only 34 miles or 55 minutes from the big city - Belfast - along the famed Causeway Coastal Route.
Its harbour provides postcard quality views of small fishing vessels, private boats and if you are lucky, rowers practicing their sport in the nearby bay. (Carnlough is also the home of the 2013 All Ireland Coastal Rowing Championship.)
Other activities include: Hiking, bird watching, angling and boating. For more information visit: www.discovernorthernireland.com.
