If you find yourself looking for a yoga teacher training in Northern Colorado, you no longer have to travel to Boulder or Denver. Check out the Shambhava School of Yoga’s training headed by Sarada Erickson ERYT-500 MS RD. This is a comprehensive 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified program. It will take place at Loveland Yoga and Core Fitness February 6 to May 8 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as full Saturdays.

The Shambhava school was founded about 25 years ago, says Erickson. “The emphasis is on having a holistic approach to training, which incorporates asana, alignment, teaching methodology, anatomy, meditation, yogic philosophy, chanting, Sanskrit language and Yoga Sutras (yogic scripture). This approach allows participants to explore their own experience of yoga as a whole.” The founder of the the Shambhavanada School, Rishi Sri Shambhavanada Yogi , is still living.

A highlight of the training includes a day trip to Eldorado Ashram and a weekend at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat in which participants can experience immersion in meditation and yoga in a quiet setting. Lila Love will also teach portions of the training, and various guest teachers will expose students to a variety of styles.

“I feel it is important to give students the opportunity to develop themselves to refine their own natural skills and talents. I emphasize helping them develop their own style. Students have a variety of needs, and it is good to have teachers to meet those different needs.”

Loveland yoga and Core Fitness is located at 100 E. 3rd St. In Loveland.
