Come on down to Crissy Field for the Special Olympics of Northern California's annual Polar Plunge this Saturday, February 25. This isn't your average Polar Bear Club swim, but a unique fundraising event to benefit the Special Olympics. Polar Plunge 2012 events across the country have raised over $1.12 million, the most ever in the history of the event.
Revel in the excitement as hundreds of brave souls take a dip in the frosty waters of the San Francisco Bay. Participating in the event is free but requires a minimum fundraising effort of $125. Awards will be given to wackiest costumes, top fundraisers, and more at the post plunge party immediately following the plunge.
