Northeastern defeats Drexel in overtime

With star guard Damion Lee out with an injury, the Drexel Dragons (5-10, 1-2 CAA) stuggled to score as they lost to the Northeastern Huskies, 63-58, in overtime. Drexel was up three with under 30 seconds to play, but Northeastern's Quincy Ford hit a three-pointer with less than two seconds left to send the game to overtime. The Huskies dominated the extra frame and handed Drexel their second straight loss.

Junior guard Frantz Massenat led the Dragons with 19 points and redshirt freshman Tavon Allen, who started in place of Lee, finished with 15 points and eight boards.

Drexel turned the ball over 21 times and shot just 36% from the floor. After what seemed like a promising start to the CAA schedule with a 77-60 win at Georgia State, the Dragons have lost two straight conference games at home.

The Dragons head back on the road to take on James Madison on Saturday. Perhaps playing away from the DAC will help get Bruiser Flint's team back on track.
