The Northeastern Conference administration announced its initiative to begin the development of Camp Victory Lake (CVL) in Hyde Park, NY. The newly-formed development committee surveyed church members who assessed the 98-acre property and recommended the next course of action.
In the past few weeks, the camp grounds have undergone noticeable changes such as the addition of a store, prayer room, benches, and charging stations for electronic devices. The Bland House has also been converted into a cooling center from camp visitors looking to take a break for the scorching heat.
"This is my home. It's your home. It's here for you" said Dr. Daniel Honore, the president of the Conference. "The Northeastern Conference is growing. We want your ideas so we can make it your camp," he continued.
The survey asks members to rank cleanliness, staff professionalism, new construction, community outreach, and funding for the overall project. Though it was initially distributed during camp meeting, the survey is also available online.
