Northeast Ohio dominates National IPA Challenge

Congratulations to Jack Kephart and the Brew Kettle for winning the National Imperial IPA championships sponsored by the Brewing News. What is incredible is that of 96 beers to start with in this bracket challenge, six were from Northeast Ohio. In the final four, three were from Ohio. Fat Head's Hop Juju beat Great Lakes' Chill Wave in the semi-finals, and then Brew Kettle's El Lupulo Libre edged out Hop Juju in the final round. Amazingly good IPAs we have here in Ohio, eh?

And... in the regular IPA bracket, Fat Head's IBUsive was only beat in the final round. Fat Head's has won this championship a few times and came in second in both brackets this time. Who won, you ask? La Cumbre Brewing's Project Dank from Albuquerque, NM. Probably not something we can get in NE Ohio so I guess we'll have to "settle" for Hop Juju, El Lupulo Libre, IBUsive, and Chill Wave. Not bad choices to have!

Congratulations all!
