The North Texas Film Critics Association has named Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" the best picture of 2012. The film also received Best Director (Spielberg), Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis), and Best Supporting Actor (Tommy Lee Jones).
It's interesting to note that "Lincoln," which is thought to be a major contender at the upcoming Oscars, has only received two Best Picture wins from critics groups (the other coming from the Dallas-Fort Worth Critics). From the awards that have come before, it's starting to look like its best chances will be in the acting categories, with Oscars most likely going to Day-Lewis and Jones.
