North Texas craft beer events, week of August 11

Jack Mac's Swill & Grill, Rabbit Hole Brewing, Armadillo Ale Works, Kelly's at the Village

Week-long events headline the craft beer calendar this time around, one of which will be happening at the Flying Saucer in Addison. They'll be hosting Wild Ale Week (otherwise known as Pretty Little Wild Things 2) featuring daily tappings of wild and/or sour ales.

In Far North Dallas, nightly specials on beers brewed in North Texas will be the order of the day during the 25 Month Anniversary celebration at Jack Mac's Swill & Grill. A different brewery will be in the spotlight each night through Sunday, and you can check the image above to see the week's schedule.

Speaking of anniversaries, Kelly's at the Village in Allen will be once again sharing the stage with Franconia for a joint celebration on Saturday. As part of the fun, a ceremonial tapping of Franconia Oktoberfest will take place at 3 p.m. Advance tickets are required, which reserves you one glass of beer poured in a Kelly's souvenir logo glass (available at the restaurant).

Elsewhere, a handful of new brew debuts are also on the bill. On Monday, Rabbit Hole rolls out Centennial Pale Ale at the House of Blues in Dallas, while Thursday marks the day Community will serve up samples and announce the name of their new Russian Imperial Stout. Then on Friday and Saturday, three events will celebrate the launch of WunderMelon Kölsch from the guys at Armadillo Ale Works. For details on the latter, be sure to check out the preview article published here in late July.
