North Texas craft beer events for the week of June 9

Examiner picks of the week
Examiner picks of the week
Dallas Beer Kitchen, Town of Little Elm, Collective Brewing Project, The Bearded Lady

Looking over the schedule, this is one of those weeks that offers up a little bit of everything. There will be debut brews, beer dinners and beer festivals to along with the regular array of happenings going on around town.

It's launch weekend for the area's newest craft brewery, as the Collective Brewing Project out of Fort Worth will be debuting with events on Thursday at Brewed, and Friday at Pour House. Come out and meet the brewers as they pour their inaugural releases, Mustache Rye'd and Pale Galaxy.

If that's not enough to quench your thirst for something new, two other local breweries have got you covered. Fracker Barrel One, a stout aged in red wine barrels from Revolver, will be appearing on Wednesday at Craft and Growler and Friday at the Bearded Lady. The latter venue will also be among those tapping Peticolas' new World Cup-inspired brew on Thursday, along with the Addison Saucer and the Holy Grail Pub.

On the culinary side of things, Wednesday night features a Shmaltz Beer Dinner with owner Jeremy Cowan at the Dallas Beer Kitchen. One night later on Thursday, it's Central Market's turn to host as they'll have a Brooklyn Brewery Beer Dinner at their Lovers Lane location.

The Central Market event is part of their two week-long Beer Fest celebration. Formerly called Brewniversity (among other things), the festival dates have changed from their usual fall scheduling, but the details remain the same. Daily meet and greets will be the predominant activity, with a few dinners and special tastings mixed in for good measure. Check the schedule at your local store for the complete rundown: Dallas Lovers, Dallas Preston Royal, Fort Worth, Plano, Southlake.

Once the weekend rolls around, head up to the Town of Little Elm for their Craft Brew & Que Festival. Set for Saturday at Little Elm Park on the shores of Lake Lewisville, this first-time event will feature beer from over 30 breweries, traditional and exotic BBQ vendors and live music.
