North Mississippi Allstars in Town for Two Nights

See also

The North Mississippi Allstars are playing two nights in San Francisco at The Independent January 30 and 31. The band, brainchild of brothers Cody and Luther Dickinson, is on tour in support of their latest album World Boogie is Coming, which was a popular phrase their legendary father, Jim Dickinson, used to say.

Cody (drums) and Luther (guitar and vocals) had split ways a few years back, but reunited with 2011’s Keys to the Kingdom after their father’s death. In a promo video for the album, the bandmates and brothers state that this isn’t a bookend album, but somewhere more along the middle of where they are headed.

Watch the video yourself and get prepared to see North Mississippi Allstars this week in San Francisco. Tickets are $22 and the event is 21 and over. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. with the show starting at 9 p.m. Lightnin Malcolm opens for North Mississippi Allstars both nights.
