Andy Stronach of Adena Springs said,
The relocation of North Light to England is in keeping with Adena Springs’ long term goal as a developer of top class International Stallions. I believe this move will have a positive impact for European breeders by making available a superbly bred horse that has a proven track record as a stallion. He has the ability to sire runners on all surfaces but most importantly he sired an English Classic winner in his first crop.
Owner and general manager of Lanwades Stud, Kirsten Rausing, said,
We welcome the addition of Derby winner North Light to our stallion roster. A proven stallion, having already produced Group/Graded Stakes winners on three continents, including St Leger winner and Champion three-year-old stayer Arctic Cosmos, North Light should greatly appeal to European breeders.
North Light began his stud career at Adena Springs and has already sired winners of over $6-million. Among his most well-known horses are Arctic Cosmos, Chip All In, Go Forth North and Battlelight.
His is known as Derby Winner and Champion 3-Year-Old Colt, Classic Winner and Classic Sire, Sire of Group/Graded Winners on 3 Continents and Canada’s Number 1 Turf Sire in 2012. His yearlings have made up to $450,000.
