North Korea threatens to nuke the United States

According to the Washington Post on Thursday, North Korea has threatened to attack America with nuclear weapons as a form of punishment for what the communist country believes is Western World aggressiveness. The threat was revealed as the United Nations is preparing more sanctions against the country led by Kim Jung Un and his ilk.

UPDATE: On Thursday, the 15-member Council condemned North Korea for its Feb.12 test by imposing sanctions aimed at making it more difficult for North Korea to finance its weapons programs and to obtain materials for their country's military concerns.

An anonymous source from Pyongyang, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry office said that the country of North Korea will be launching a preemptive nuclear attack to “destroy the strongholds of the aggressors.” Washington was referred to as the aggressor in a nuclear attack against North Korea. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council is prepared to vote, perhaps even as early as Thursday, on the latest proposed sanctions against North Korea. The six world powers included in the United Nations Security Council are the United States, Britain, China, France, Germany, and North Korea’s neighbor China.

North Korea performed its latest nuclear test – its third test – in February.

United States military experts, for the record, doubt that North Korea can launch a nuclear warhead that can reach the United States.
