Today, March 7, 2013, CBS News has reported, North Korea vows nuclear strike against U.S. On Thursday, just hours ahead of a scheduled vote by U.N. diplomats on whether to hit Pyongyang with new sanctions for its recent nuclear test, North Korea vowed to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the United States.
An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry has said North Korea will exercise its right for "a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors" because Washington has been pushing to start a nuclear war against the North. However, it is not thought North Korea actually has developed the ability to produce a warhead which is small enough to put on a missile capable of reaching the U.S. North Korea is however believed to have enough nuclear fuel for several crude nuclear devices.
