North Carolina's Derek Brunson to make Strikeforce Debut later this month

Wilmington, North Carolina based MMA fighter Derek Brunson, following a 6-0 start to his professional career, will be making his Strikeforce Debut on June 24 in Kent, Washington on the undercard of Strikeforce Challengers: Fodor vs. Terry.

Brunson, who attended UNC-Pembroke before becoming an MMA fighter comes from a wrestling background, and hasn't been taken past the first round in his professional MMA career.  He has four knockouts and two submission victories.  In the lead up to this fight, Brunson has spent time training with the world renowned Jackson's MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico alongside such notables as Clay Guida, and Diego Sanchez.

His opponent at Strikeforce Challengers is fellow undefeated fighter Jeremy Hamilton, who holds an 8-0 record.
