A North Carolina man walked into an adult novelty store and stole a blow-up doll that is advertised as a Miley Cyrus doll. The man is now facing shoplifting charges.
Benjamin Greene, 22, walked into Spencer’s Gifts store in Spartanburg, South Carolina. According to the police report, Greene removed the “Finally Mylie! Love Doll” from the box and hid it in his coat.
The “Finally Mylie! Love Doll” retails for $19.99. As Greene left the store one of the Spencer’s Gifts employees confronted him and the doll fell out of his coat onto the ground.
When officers responded to the theft call, the employee related the events regarding the theft and confrontation. Greene was arrested and booked into the Spartanburg County jail on misdemeanor shoplifting charges. He was later released without a bond.
The “Mylie” blow-up doll was created by Pipedream Products. The dolls was released after Cyrus turned 18 and the doll itself does not look like Miley Cyrus.
The packaging however, does include a photo of a Cyrus lookalike holding a guitar. The doll is one in the company’s “Super Star Series”. Other celebrities featured as a blow-up doll are Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and Katy Perry.
