The North Bay is a long way from Memphis but that doesn’t mean local blues fans can’t help support one of that city’s essential attractions.
The Blues Hall of Fame on Main Street in Memphis was founded in 1980 and preserves the music’s historical record through performance, research and documentation. The Blues Foundation has launched a capital campaign to fund creating historical exhibits to attract more Memphis visitors and enhance their understanding of the music’s significance.
You can help by heading over October 14 to the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley for a benefit concert featuring the Blues Ambassadors. The lineup includes two European guest stars, Swiss artist Philipp Fankauser and U.K. guitarist Eddie Angel. The evening’s lineup also features Cole Fonseca and Phoenix Jubilee, Tia Carroll, Wendy Waller and Island Of Black and White.
