According to a Dec. 13 report by the IB Times, Bloff Productions recently released the third episode of "The Secret Life of Norman's Cat," a web cartoon about Norman's favorite feline friend, Eye in the Dark. In the Christmas episode of the cartoon, the kitty overhears Norman telling a mysterious British woman that he wants a pair of bunny slippers for Christmas. Norman probably got this gift idea from "The Walking Dead"—remember when Oscar (R.I.P.) grabbed a pair of slippers from the prison? Daryl Dixon wasn't impressed with the find at first, but then Oscar told him how relaxing it is to slip them on after a long day.
However, the "Everybody needs bunny slippers" line used in the cartoon was actually taken from an interview Norman Reedus did with GQ. The actor was asked about the essentials he would need to survive a zombie apocalypse like the one in "The Walking Dead," and his list included bunny slippers, a camera, his motorcycle, his Ray-Bans, a boob pillow, and his Roomba. According to Norman, Eye in the Dark is a big fan of the Roomba. The kitty probably also loves chasing bunny slippers around.
You can watch "The Secret Live of Norman's Cat: The Xmas Episode" above to see the very special pair of bunny slippers that Eye in the Dark gets for Norman Reedus. However, a new pair of bunny slippers probably isn't the only thing that Norman wants for Christmas—he also wants to save bunnies from being imprisoned and used to test cosmetics. According to Wetpaint, Norman and "Game of Thrones" actor Peter Dinklage have joined with Cruelty Free International in an effort to put an end to animal testing in the U.S. They're encouraging their fans to make New Year resolutions to only buy cruelty-free beauty products. You can tell which products are cruelty-free by looking for the Leaping Bunny logo.
If you want to make sure that you honor Norman's wishes, ask Santa for a pair of bunny slippers that will remind you to look for the Leaping Bunny Logo. Just make sure that they aren't made from real bunnies.
