Norma’s Café will be partnering with Operation Kindness to host its third annual “Dog Days of Summer” pet adoption event next weekend! All three Norma’s Café locations will be participating Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23.
Never heard of Dog Days of Summer? It’s a pet adoption event to help raise money for the Carrolton-based no-kill pet shelter. Norma’s Café location will have dogs and puppies of various breeds available for adoption at the below times:
- Friday, August 22, from 9 a.m. through 11 a.m. at the Oak Cliff location
- Friday, August 22, from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m. at the Frisco location
- Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. at the North Dallas location
In honor of the event, Norma’s Café will be bringing back its popular chili dogs – foot long, 100% beef hot dog topped with chili, cheese, onions, and jalapenos. The chili dogs come served with your choice of chips, fries, or tots. Norma’s Café will also donate a portion of both days’ sales from all locations to Operation Kindness. The proceeds will help the organization with medical care, food, and more. Check out Norma’s Café for more information and their location.
“Norma’s Cafe is proud to partner with North Texas’ oldest and largest no-kill shelter for the second time through our Dog Days of Summer event,” said Ed Murph, owner of Norma’s Cafe. “We invite our loyal guests to join in our support of the shelter’s efforts to find these dogs a new home, either through adopting a puppy or taking part in this delicious promotion.”
