Nordstrom to give out $40 gift cards in exchange for your designer clothes

Do you have a pile of unwanted designer clothes and accessories that are clogging up your closet? Here is your chance to make some room, get a Nordstrom gift card and help your favorite charity all at the same time. Nordstrom has partnered with Fashion Project for the "Pay Your Fashion Forward" campaign. Fashion Project is a website that sells second hand designer items, giving a portion of the proceeds to charity.

To earn your $40 Nordstrom card all you have to do is send in five new or gently worn shoes, clothing, accessories or handbags via a prepaid mail bag and then wait six to eight weeks for your gift card to arrive. Start by logging on at fashionproject.com/nordstrom and request that a pre-paid donation envelope be sent to you. Once FashionProject.com receives your items, they will review them and let you know if you qualify for the Nordstrom Gift Card.

Your items should be like new, meet or exceed $50 in original price and be from from one of the qualified brands listed here. There is no limit to the number of qualifying items you can donate, or to the limit of Nordstrom Gift Cards you can receive. You'll also have the opportunity to select which charity you want your donations to go to. If yours is not listed, please let Fashion Project know and they will sign them up! You will also get a receipt for an in-kind donation.
