The number of e-readers given as presents during the holiday season reached an all-time high in December 2011. Now the new owners of these devices are eagerly seeking e-books with which to fill them. Penguin Group (USA) has designed its own e-book, The Penguin Holiday eSampler, to meet their needs.
The Penguin Holiday eSampler, which was released Dec. 13, 2011, contains 42 excerpts from the works of Penguin authors. The link to this free publication, available for Kindle, Nook, iPad, Kobo and Sony e-readers, can be found on the Penguin website.
Penguin organizes the eSampler into "Past," "Present" and "Future" categories. The "Past" section lists classic titles; the "Present," major publications from 2011; and the "Future," upcoming works.
Readers of Nora Roberts' romances will find an excerpt from her latest work available here. The Penguin Holiday eSampler contains "Chapter One" of The Next Always. This first book in Roberts’ Inn BoonsBoro trilogy was just released Nov. 1, 2011.
