Penguin Group (USA) has included Nora Roberts’ From the Heart as one of six titles it is promoting in connection with a new "Read for the Heart" campaign. The publisher will use February 2012, American Heart Month, to launch this effort to increase public awareness of the need for research into heart disease.
From the Heart contains three novels Roberts originally wrote for Silhouette Romances. Tonight and Always was released in 1983; A Matter of Choice and Endings and Beginnings, in 1984.
In addition to Roberts’ work, Penguin will issue special paperback editions of Bertrice Small’s The Captive Heart, Lynn Kurland’s My Heart Stood Still, Mary Balogh’s Irresistible, Catherine Coulter’s The Valentine Legacy and Wynonna Judd’s Restless Heart. The books, priced at 7.99 each, will carry “Read for the Heart” seals on their covers. Penguin will also donate $25,000 to the American Heart Association.
Wynonna Judd serves as the spokesperson for the "Read for the Heart" campaign. She appears in the attached video discussing the importance of raising awareness concerning heart disease.
Penguin has conducted similar campaigns in October of the past two years in support of breast cancer research. Nora Roberts’ novels were also a part of these “Read Pink” promotions.
