Nora Roberts' Boonsboro fitness center to open in fall 2011

Nora Roberts has added another business to her holdings in Boonsboro, Md. Fit in BoonsBoro, a fitness center, will open in the fall of 2011. Construction is nearing completion on the building, located 3 St. Paul Street just behind Inn BoonsBoro.

According to its Facebook fan page, Fit in BoonsBoro intends to offer a "place to pursue health, fitness and wellness in a friendly, supportive and energetic environment with the goal that each visit results in a positive experience." To do this, the facility will provide fitness instructors and personal trainers as well as state-of-the-art equipment. A steam room and sauna will also be available.

In preparation for its opening, Fit in BoonsBoro has already hired its administrative staff. Heidi Bodenheimer is manager of Fit in BoonsBoro and Renee Schukman is assistant manager. 

The Facebook fan page for Fit In BoonsBoro went online in July 2011. Visitors to that site can see photos of the fitness center during various stages of its construction and view a video of Heidi Bodenheimer describing the center’s varied offerings.

Fit in BoonsBoro is the fourth property Roberts owns in Boonsboro, Md., a town only a short distance from her home in Keedysville.  She and her husband, Bruce Wilder, acquired the Turn the Page Bookstore Café in 1995. Inn BoonsBoro followed in 2007, and Gifts Inn BoonsBoro opened in 2008.
