Celebrating New Year's Eve without alcohol doesn't have to be boring. The prevalence of sparkling juices, flavored waters and soda means that any number of flavorful, colorful concoctions can be created by enterprising mixologists.
Ocean Spray has developed several mixed drinks that use one or more of their juice products. Here are two that not only are alcohol free, but also low in calories.
Cranberry Kiss
6 oz. Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice cocktail
1 oz. orange juice
Club soda
Orange wedge for garnish
Pour cranberry juice and orange juice into a glass filled with ice. Top with club soda, garnish with orange wedge.

Ruby Citrus Sparkler
6 oz. Ocean Spray Ruby Red Grapefruit juice
3 oz. orange juice
2 oz. lime-flavored sparkling water
Pour grapefruit juice and orange juice into glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water.

Welch's has also developed a holiday punch using their Sparkling White Grape juice. This recipe makes enough for a crowd, and the white grape juice hints of champagne.
Sparkling Holiday Toaster
Ingredients
1 can (6 oz.) frozen limeade juice concentrate, thawed
3 cups cold water
2 bottles Welch's Sparkling White Grape Juice Cocktail, chilled
Orange slices, kiwi fruit slices or purple grapes
In a punch bowl, combine limeade and water. Gently stir in Sparkling White Grape Juice Cocktail. Garnish with orange slices, kiwi fruit slices or purple grapes. Serve immediately in ice-filled glasses. Makes about 20, 1/2 cup servings.
R W Knudsen makes a line of sparkling fruit juices that really need no additions. Choose from sparkling blueberry, cherry, cranberry, apple or pear for a snazzy and simple way to celebrate, or try the following for a new twist on the Shirley Temple:
Fizzing Cherry Temple
3 oz. Knudsen sparkling cranberry juice
3 oz. Knudsen sparkling cherry juice
6 oz. lemon lime soda
4 oz. orange juice
Add cranberry, cherry and orange juices to two tall glasses filled with ice. Top with lemon lime soda. Garnish with lime wheels, if desired.
Finally, toasting the arrival of the new year with champagne can also be done without a trip to the liquor store. Lorann Oils makes a champagne-flavored punch base that, when mixed with ginger ale, resembles the real thing.
Mock Champagne Punch
1- bottle LorAnn Champagne Fruit Punch Base
2 2-liter bottles of Ginger Ale
LorAnn Pink Liquid Food Color
Garnish with citrus slices and fresh raspberries.
Pour Punch Base into punch bowl. Add Ginger Ale. Color with several drops of LorAnn Pink Liquid Food Color. Add fruit for garnish if desired. Makes about 1-1/2 gallons.
