This year’s awards included LGBTI artists from New Zealand, Germany, Portugal, China, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Switzerland, Australia, Canada and the United States.
“This was our biggest year so far, which also means the judges' jobs became significantly more difficult,” says Marlee Walchuk, co-producer of the RightOutTV awards. “We are already making plans for next year’s awards to adjust to the rapid growth and obvious need for acknowledgement of this kind in our community.”
Co-producer Tully Callender adds, “We truly wish everyone could be nominated. There is so much amazing talent in this competition and we look forward to adding new artists we have discovered through this awards process and continuing to promote all of the artists on our website at RightOutTV.com throughout the year.”
Members of the public may still vote until Oct. 21, 2013 (one vote per person, please) for one LGBTI artist to win the RightOutTV 2013 Fan Fave Award.
Award winners in 18 categories will be announced in an online awards show featuring many of the nominees on October, 30 2013 at the RightOutTV Awards website.
