Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phone owners will soon begin to see software update notifications on their devices. This latest firmware update promises to boost performance and enhance the user experience. The official changelog reads, “General performance and usability improvements”.
As WMPoweruser reports Sunday (Feb.9), the latest software update brings the Lumia 1520 software up to release number 1028.3534.1347.2001. Customers on the U.S. carrier network AT&T will receive the updates over-the-air (OTA).
Nokia encourages Lumia 1520 owners to download the update using a Wi-Fi connection to avoid mobile data usage charges. Although AT&T is pushing the software directly to the phone, owners can also check manually to see if the update is available. If you own a Lumia 1520, navigate to Settings > phone update.
According to Nokia, the total download and installation time for the Lumia 1520 software update is normally 15 to 30 minutes, but may take as long as 60 minutes.
