The Rhythm Sisters is a string quartet of four leading Bay Area performers: violinists Dawn Harms and Candace Guirao, violist Emily Onderdonk, and cellist Vanessa Ruotolo. They came together as a group in the summer of 2008 with the intention of offering programs aimed towards kids and families. Next month they will give a performance in the Noe Valley Chamber Music series (currently in its nineteenth season). The featured composers will be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák with a polka thrown in for good measure. This will be an Osher Inside-Out concert performance, meaning that the concert itself will be preceded by a talk.
The Rhythm Sisters will present this concert at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 455 Fair Oaks Street (between 25th and 26th Streets), on Sunday, March 11, at 4 PM. The pre-concert talk will begin at 3:15 PM. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20 with a $15 rate for students and seniors. They may also be purchased online at the Tickets Web page for Noe Valley Chamber Music.
