Was Noah's Ark found by a team of archaeologist that were working in Turkey on Mount Ararat? The archaeologist team believes they have found the remains of Noah's Ark at an altitude of 4000 m.
A huge structure with wooden beams that were separated into a number of different compartments has been found. Carbon dating puts the find's age to be 4,800 years old which is consistent with the biblical flood records.
The archaeologist team reveal they can't be 100% sure but they have stated that they are 99.9% certain that it is in fact Noah's Ark. They now plan to seek a UNESCO World Heritage Listing while their find is being further investigated.
In Schagen Netherlands a local man was previously reported to having built an exact replica of Noah's Ark. Johan Huibers began building in May 2005 and is reported to have built every sq. inch on his own. The only difference is that Huiber did build his ark with more modern day tools using cedar and pine.
Huibers Ark measures 150x30x20 cubits and is in equal size to two thirds of a football field being as tall as a three story building.
Huiber's now shares his finished work with the public and allows visitors to walk through the Ark. Once on board the visitors are greeted by life size replicas of animal pairs. This ark also has something that Noah's didn't a 50 foot theater where families can enjoy a movie depicting the story of Noah's Ark. This sounds like a great place to visit the only catch is to view Huiber's Ark you will have to be visiting The Netherlands.

Looks like this could be credible information. There is one picture if you look it up. It is not only one religion that speaks of Noah and his ark, so do the math.
You guys asking for facts, give some time for the details to come out. The story just broke and no one has claimed 100% certainty at this time. A discovery was made and there is a lot of excitement and anticipation, but we'll have to wait for the details to come out as there has been no official archaeological dig yet. If you search Google for other news accounts of the story, the name of the archaeological foundation that made the discovery is listed.

Many different cultures from all over the world have historical writings that speak of a world-wide flood so this is not far-fetched bigfoot-style news. No one has pictures of monkeys turning into humans either yet a lot of people have no problem believing something as crazy as that!
recent tests show the Shroud to be only 5 or 6 hundred years old. However, when it was being repaired because of a fire, other fibers were re-woven into the relic (This HAS been established). But even if they test an UN-re-woven area and it turns out to be 2 years old, it is STILL a matter of faith concerning whether or not the image is of Jesus.
IF this is completely excavated and IF carbon dating really shows that is is 4000 years old, it will still be a matter of faith as to whther or not it is Noah's Ark. People believe what they want to believe. In the last 250 years, the Bible has been vindicated every time as an accurate historical document. But people will believe what they want to believe because it is still a matter of faith no matter how much vindication occurs.

I do believe the biblical account. Whether this is real remains to be seen. It sure seems to bear a lot of expected values such as the structure, dimensions and if C14 dating was really done its the right time frame and C14 would be accurate to this time frame. What is scary is if indeed it has been preserved all this time why has it been revealed at this particular time? It will burden the majority of the scientific community to disprove its authenticity less the bible be true and man is accountable.
However since God gave his Son for us and inspired the scriptures for our salvation I dont think he would cause the ARK or any other object to be found to save a dying Godless world from the impending apocalypse. Often claims are made such as the scientist in S Korea who claimed to have made genetic breakthroughs just to get world attention. I hope this is not the case but it seems too obvious to be real. However, I hope it is real.
Last I heard Turkey forbid anyone to 'go up on the mountain" to look for any Ark.

Yeah, if this was a real archaeological story, they would've spent several years studying, testing and so forth before releasing this drivel, for fear of tanking their careers otherwise.
I don't think Christians should be using carbon dating. It is unreliable. For example, people have carbon dated two parts of the same mammoth tusk and got two completely different dates!

I certainly don't know if this is real or not, however, I absolutely believe the Bible and therefore, that the Ark was real. I have no idea if they could find it or if anything would be left to find after 5 thousand years. What I find interesting is the way Atheist jump on this to disprove it. Why is that? Even if you don't believe in God, wouldn't finding out you were wrong and that you have a chance to live an ETERNAL life in heaven be good news? If it is the remains of a boat, it only proves that there is, or was, an Ark. I believe we are required to show some "faith" regardlessly. Anyway, there are some who wouldn't believe if Jesus personally walked on water in front of them. If it's the Ark, or if it's not, I still believe in our God and pray for those who don't.

There's this story about "Joudi Mountain" did archaeologists search there for the ship too? who knows it might be true. i'm not an archaeologist, but i'm interested in history so i search often. so far I read many different sources form many backgrounds whether Archaeologists, Religions... However, I noticed that most of archaeologists, always refer to the Bible. Y don't they look for other sources? it might help confirm their theories or lead them to better ones.
