"Noah" debuted at its world premiere in Mexico City on March 10, 2014. The film will be released into U.S. theaters on Friday, March 28, 2014, and will compete for box office dollars with action thriller "Sabotage," the comedy Jason Bateman "Bad Words" and the drama biopic "Cesar Chavez."

"Noah" has been in the news recently as its retelling of the biblical tale so differs from the Bible that it was requested by National Religious Broadcasters to add the following disclaimer "('Noah') is inspired by the story of Noah. While artistic license has been taken, we believe that this film is true to the essence, values, and integrity of a story that is a cornerstone of faith for millions of people worldwide. The biblical story of Noah can be found in the book of Genesis.”
