No talks between the Ravens and Joe Flacco since the Super Bowl (Photos)

The Baltimore Ravens continue to hope to sign quarterback Joe Flacco to a long-term extension.

However, since the Super Bowl win a little over a week ago, there have been no talks between the Ravens and Flacco's agent Joe Linta. But they could talk about a long-term deal later this week.

There is no rush to get into a long-term deal at this time, as the Ravens can sign Flacco to the franchise tag to keep him through next season. Then, try to reach a long-term deal by the July deadline.

In years past, teams have typically have waited until the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis to kick-off talks with their own free agents. The NFL Scouting Combine starts February 23rd and runs through February 26th.

The deadline to apply the franchise tag is March 4th. That is nearly a week before free agency starts on March 12th.
