No surprise: DHS began preparing for influx of illegals in January

A few weeks ago reports began to trickle out about thousands of illegal immigrants from Central America entering the United States from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Some news outlets denied the reports, but we soon learned they were true, and that "refugee camps" were being set up to handle the surge of underage illegals being sent to the US by their families after news reports in their home countries urged them to come here, and promised them they would not be turned away if they managed to make the journey.

This surge of people has caused what even President Obama has termed an "urgent humanitarian situation." Indeed it is. Sick and diseased illegals are making the trip. Pregnant girls as young as 13 years old are making the trip. Certainly gang members and criminals are among the throngs of Central American refugees that are pouring over the border by the tens of thousands, and then being transported to locations around the country.

Obama has feigned surprise at this so-called sudden, unexpected rush of illegals. So have members of Congress, as well as the mainstream media. We now know this was no surprise. In fact, a post at the website dated Jan. 29, 2014 shows the Department of Homeland Security was actively searching for private contractors to transport "unaccompanied alien children" and to provide "transportation, travel, & relocation services" months before this "urgent humanitarian situation" even began.

The following excerpt from a document on the website titled "Escort Services for Unaccompanied Alien Children" that describes the services the government anticipates it will require, clearly shows they were expecting at least 65,000 "unaccompanied alien children," but they are searching for contractors to provide the service "seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year." In short, they do not expect the surge of illegals crossing the border to stop any time soon. This is absolute proof that our government has no intention of upholding its Constitutional mandate to protect the borders. That they expect the citizens of this country to follow the law, but arrogantly violate it themselves.

"The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25% local ground transport, 25% via ICE charter and 50% via commercial air. Escort services include, but are not limited to, assisting with: transferring physical custody of UAC from DHS to Health and Human Services (HHS) care via ground or air methods of transportation (charter or commercial carrier), property inventory, providing juveniles with meals, drafting reports, generating transport documents, maintaining/stocking daily supplies, providing and issuing clothing as needed, coordinating with DHS and HHS staff, travel coordination, limited stationary guard services to accommodate for trip disruptions due to inclement weather, faulty equipment, or other exigent circumstances. In emergency situations, the Contractor shall be called on to provide temporary shelter locations (such as trailers) with shower facilities for juveniles who are pending placement with HHS when bed space is unavailable nationwide for extended periods of time. The Contractor shall provide temporary guard services and other support as necessary during these emergencies."

There is no doubt this crisis on the border is a carefully planned, staged event. This is our government giving us all the middle finger and demonstrating to us that no matter how opposed we are as a nation to amnesty for illegals, they will do as they please. They will import millions of illegals in direct violation of the law and bus them into our cities and dare anyone to to a damn thing about it. Not only that America, our government is looking you straight in the eye and telling you it is going to use your hard-earned money to feed, clothe, and house these illegals, as well as provide them with free medical care, and also grant them access to a job market that is worse than that of the Carter era. With an all-time high, one-third of our workforce on the sidelines, this is unacceptable, not to mention criminal.

Is President Obama to blame? Absolutely. His most important responsibilities as president are to secure the border and enforce the laws. The United States Constitution requires him to do so. However, the blame cannot be laid entirely at his feet. Many members of Congress, both Democrat and Republican, are just as guilty of trampling on the Constitution and ignoring the law when it comes to the illegal alien crisis in America. Those who support "comprehensive immigration reform" are encourgaing this "urgent humanitarian situation" by announcing to the world that they will not enforce U.S. immigration law. That they want millions of poor, sick, uneducated illegals to come here. Yes, these corrupt, career liars will claim compassion is their motivation, but informed, intelligent people know their true motives. Many Republicans want these illegals to be used as cheap, no, as slave labor. On the other side, progressives know they are likely to become registered Democrat voters and are positively gleeful at the prospect of turning Texas, and the entire southwest, permanently blue. Others attribute the move to more sinister motives.

The bottom line here is that anyone in government, from President Obama at the top, right down through Congress, to the lowest-level aid who is giving orders that violate US immigration law, should be held accountable. In the case of the president, the proper Constitutional remedy is impeachment and removal from office. Members of Congress can be removed more easily, by the people in November. Voting out every member of the House and Senate who are up for reelection and have voiced support for "comprehensive immigration reform" would send a loud message to D.C. Employees of DHS, ICE, or any other agency who wishes to escape their responsiility in this lawlessness by claiming they were "just following orders" should receive no leniency. They should be prosecuted criminally for their role in assisting illegals in crossing the border, and for harboring them once they arrive, just as any private citizen would. The "rule of law" must apply to politicans and bureaucrats as well as citizens, otherwise there is no law at all, only tyranny.
