Valentine's day is so cheesy (in my opinion). It's like a self-reflection of not being in a committed relationship, which usually leads to an indulgence of delicious cocktails or chocolate in all forms. In the recent years, urban markets such as NYC, LA, DC and more have been focused on Valentine's Day being a day to "treat yourself." Fitness studios and gyms are now celebrating this day as a focus on feeling healthy, strong and being happy by creating a fitness themed party atmosphere. So let loose and enjoy yet another Friday!

Frankly, Valentine's Day shouldn't be a day for women (or anyone really) to isolate themselves, but to take pride in themselves on this day and celebrate their life. February is American Heart Month, and there are plenty of ways to be social and feel healthy. So hey, welcome to the modern day Lonely Hearts Club.
