Tune in to the TODAY Show on Monday, Feb. 24 to see the hosts participate in “No Makeup Monday,” part of the morning show’s “Love Your Selfie” series.

Host of the show, including Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist, will appear without stage makeup under the bright TV lights on Monday morning.

Lauer and his co-hosts aren't the first to do this on NBC's popular morning show. Back in 2010, hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford hosted their fourth-hour show with bare faces.

Makeup is typically an essential, for both men and women, when they are in front of cameras in the television studio, especially in the age where people watch shows on finely-tuned HDTVs.

The TODAY Show is encouraging viewers to submit their own no makeup selfies on Facebook and Twitter. The response has been has been tremendous.

TODAY kicked off the "Love Your Selfie” series on Saturday. The series features stories that examine the “current obsession with body image and what we can do to feel more positive about ourselves.”

Several TODAY Show anchors talked about the topic during the weekend shows on NBC, sharing their feelings about their own body images.

Jenna Wolf, one of TODAY’s weekend hosts stated, "From the neck up, I was aesthetically challenged ... and my peers did not stop reminding me of that fact all throughout high school."

Throughout the week, a variety of celebrities, including Cameron Diaz and Jordin Sparks will weigh in on the subject. First Lady Michelle Obama will also give her feedback on the topic during the week-long series.
