Despite the fact he is on the brink of an ugly divorce and his popularity rating has dropped like a rather large stone in recent weeks, Tiger Woods keeps piling up the accolades. Last week he was not only named the Athlete of the Decade by AP newspapers, the Golf Writers Association of America named him their Player of the Year as well.
Today, it has been announced his fellow players on the PGA Tour have also named him Player of the Year, thanks to six Tour wins that bought his career total to 71 - no one else won more than three. Players voted on the awards over the last month, with balloting ending on Friday. 2009 marks the eighth year Woods has swept all the major PGA Tour honors – Byron Nelson Award for the lowest adjusted scoring average (68.05), Arnold Palmer Award for the money title and Jack Nicklaus Award for player of the year.

Let's not forget the Lady Gaga "Pokher face" Award or her "Bad Romance" Award. You have to admire Tiger's courage though. With all his bad luck recently, he still thinks its OK to take his boat sailing in shark infested deep sea oceans. More power to ya, Tiger!
