After reviewing the testimony from secret service agent Clint Hill, the shot from the sewer makes sense. As stated in his account before the Warren Commission, Hill describes the last shot (probably the final head shot) sounding like a 45 caliber pistol being fired into a bucket. As close as he was to Kennedy and the sewer/man hole, the echo and sound that was created from firing that shot probably sounded a lot like what he described he heard. I would like to hear additional comments on this theory.
Thanks for your comment. The sewer line theory is attractive for another reason. What a perfect escape route! The Badge Man photo also indicates a shooter behind the fence, but that has a sewer grate that also connects to the same system, so both shooters could have gotten away in the same manner--a very well chosen location! It sure sounds to me like it was a military-style operation from start to finish....
