Kissing Bridge Ski Area covers 700 acres, its highest elevation at 1,750’ and lowest 1,150’ typically with 180 inches of snow a year. It is 32 miles south of Buffalo NY in Glenwood NY.
Its 10 lifts have a capacity of 11,188 per hour, with 4 surface lifts, 2 fixed and 3 doubles. The 39 ski slopes with 38 trails are divided into a North, Central, and South area. Twenty percent are for beginners, 50% for intermediate skiers, and 30% for advanced skiers.
Beginner Park located at the top of Coal Chute assists in learning to ride the rails and hit the jumps. Progression Park located on Twist has jumps gradually getting larger, increasing confidence. Main Park has been the main attraction for years, with the largest hits and jibs.
The facility has snowmaking to keep the slopes properly groomed for skiers with night skiing. The ski area has two base lodges, 2 rental facilities and a ski/snowboard shop. Ski and snowboard lessons and equipment rentals are available. There is a kids program as well as neighboring Golden Tubing Company.
Golden Tubing Company is the states largest downhill tubing park. You may ride to the summit then slide down 10 stories to the valley. There is a bunny slope for smaller children. Children must have a parent present, as there are potential risks, as with all winter sports.
Kissing Bridge is 15 miles southeast of Hamburg, and 13 miles south of East Aurora. It is 90 minutes from Erie PA, 3 ½ hours from Cleveland, and 2 ½ hours from Toronto Canada.

Glenwood is a small hamlet in southern Erie County. Its on route 240 as a tourist destination to Kissing Bridge Ski Area. It has two eating establishments, The Last Run and The Pizza Glen. East Aurora is a village of 6,236 founded in 1804. It was birthplace and Corporate Headquarters of Fisher-Price from 1987 to 2007.
Hamburg is a town in New York State with a population of 59,936. Evidence proves the Erie Indians originally occupied the area. Lake Erie defines the town’s western boundary and Eighteen Mile Creek is its southern boundary.
Kissing Bridge Ski Area is a 90 minute drive of 97 miles from Rochester NY. Drive I-90 west toward Buffalo to route 219 south, exiting Armor Duells Road to route 240 south following signs to Kissing Bridge Ski Area.
