No interest in sweet, gentle elderly German shepherd

On April 12, a 10-year-old German shepherd named "Shane," found himself at the Harbor Animal Care and Control Center in San Pedro, Calif.

Shelter volunteers have described Shane as "sweet, gentle and perfect" but to date, there has been no one who has taken interest in him.

Aside from his advanced age, Shane appears to be a catch - he is handsome, is said to be good with other dogs, and well-mannered. Despite being a "senior," he is still strong and healthy.

What Shane desperately needs right now is one special person who can look beyond he age-wizened eyes, his softly graying muzzle and see the amazing dog that he person who has a soft bed and a big heart.

Please take a moment to network on Shane's behalf - he deserves more than spending the end of his life locked away like a criminal.
