No-Fuss Scarves (http://nofussscarves.com/) is the brainchild of Joyce Marie, a draping genius, who has patented her own multi-functional scarf designs. Effectively, these scarves can be transformed into many different garments ranging from dresses, cover-ups, shirts, skirts and much more. This ensures that her patented scarf designs will add many options for any wardrobe.
"Women hardly wear them anymore, especially the square scarf. In fact teens don’t wear them at all. So, I asked myself...why is that? It was obvious that in our Western culture, with today’s clothing styles, the traditional square has long been outdated," says Marie.
Marie had a vision to empower women, no matter what their social status or budget by helping to create many looks from one piece. Her mission of empowering women continues as the company is an active charitable contributor to many women's causes including The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and the Women's Employment Network. They are even affiliated with the Dress for Success program and have attended functions hosted by the organization. No-Fuss Scarves fashion shows are educational and actually provide step-by-step instructions for women on how to wear the scarves in creative ways. They will continue to make programs and demonstrations part of their strategic goals in their business plan.
No-Fuss Scarves has now made their mark in Arkansas by donating a nice selection of scarves and buckles to the Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas (http://www.conwaywomensshelter.com/). The shelter has provided emergency assistance to domestic violence victims since November of 1995. And what fashionistas they are having developed their own line of jewelry hand crafted with "broken china" pieces. The shelter even hosts a beauty and spa event annually to bring in revenue that directly supports the shelter and their mission. The scarves will be delivered via The Compassion Fashion Project based in Arkansas. The collaborative effort will aid the residents to add several new items to their wardrobe with just one garment. This is essential since many women leave their abusive partners with nothing but the clothes on their backs. No-Fuss Scarves is certainly becoming an empowering force for women in many different capacities.
